Updated: Aug 12, 2020

Wine sangria is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in the world. sangria originally comes from Spain and Portugal and its recipe widely varies depending on the region. The basic sangria recipe always uses red wine, sliced fresh fruits, sweetener and flavored liqueur.

What is the best wine for sangria?
I use Pinot Noir for this wine sangria recipe, feel free to use your favorite red wine. Some of the best wine to use for sangria are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.Â
